CREATING A VISION BOARD
Manifesting Your Dreams with Intent

Let’s be real—we all have dreams and goals that we carry quietly in our hearts. Maybe it’s a new career path, a healthier lifestyle, deeper relationships, or simply more peace and presence in your everyday life. But in the midst of daily responsibilities and distractions, it can be easy to lose sight of those dreams. That’s why today, I want to talk to you about one of my favorite intentional self-care practices: creating a vision board.
Pictured above is my 2024 Vision Board. Did I accomplish everything in 2024? No, I didn't. Did I accomplish some of these things? Yes, I did. More than half of them. To me, that is a win. A vision board isn’t just a fun collage project—it’s a powerful visual tool for helping you stay focused, inspired, and aligned with the life you want to create. When you intentionally take time to clarify your desires and represent them visually, you activate the power of visualization and begin attracting what you desire into your reality.
Pro Tips:
Hang it in your room, or on the back of the door, or in your closet or bathroom. It's not meant to be aesthetic (although) you really can make it aesthetically pleasing nowadays of you desire. If you are constantly looking at your goals, you are more likely to accomplish them.
You can do a digital Vision Board or an old fashioned poster board vision board. Doing a physical one can get a little challenging considering printed magazines are not as popular as they used to be. If you use AI however, you can create better images for your vision board that are closer to a specific image you had in mind. In other words, you can make it more personal.
Be very specific. Sometimes our ideas are too general. For example, instead of finding a picture of just a random car, find or create a picture of the year, make and model of the specific care you desire. Being detailed gives you specific goals to reach, therefore empowering you to work harder to get exactly what you desire.
Step 1: Reflect on What You Truly Want
Before gathering magazines or opening Canva, pause and reflect. What do you want this next season of life to look like? How do you want to feel? What do you want to experience, build, or become? Write it all down. Get clear on the areas of your life you want to focus on—whether that’s wellness, career, finances, relationships, creativity, or personal growth. As I said a moment ago, be VERY specific.
Step 2: Gather Your Materials
You can create a physical vision board with scissors, glue, and magazines, or go digital with tools like Canva, Midjourney, ChatGPT or Pinterest. There’s no right or wrong way—go with what feels the most accessible and inspiring for you. Choose images, words, colors, and quotes that speak to your soul and match the energy of what you’re manifesting. This is the time to let your imagination run wild. Unleash your creativity and design something that is not only engaging, but that aligns very closely with your desires.
Step 3: Design With Intention
As you build your vision board, stay connected to how you want to feel. This isn’t just about what looks pretty—it’s about aligning visuals with your values and desires. Group related themes together, or let your intuition guide the layout. The more emotionally connected you feel to the board, the more powerful it becomes.
Step 4: Place It Where You Can See It
Put your vision board somewhere visible—above your desk, on your bathroom mirror, or as your phone wallpaper. The goal is to see it often, so it can gently remind you of your goals, keep you focused, and re-energize you when you feel stuck or discouraged. If you do a digital version, you can print multiple copies and place them strategically in places where you will see them every single day. It might sound crazy but it works.
Step 5: Take Aligned Action
A vision board is a starting point, not a magic trick. Pair it with small, consistent actions that move you toward your vision. Let the board serve as a daily motivation tool, nudging you to take steps, big or small, in the direction of your dreams. Along with the vision board, you should write down goals by the year, month week and day. You'll be surpirised at how focused you'll be when you have a plan.
Closing Thoughts
Remember, self-care isn’t just about bubble baths and face masks. It’s about honoring your deepest desires and giving yourself permission to dream big. A vision board is a beautiful way to reconnect with what you want and remind yourself that you are worthy of a life that excites and fulfills you. Vision boards can be done anytime, not just at the beginning of the year.
Whether you create one today or revisit one you made before, give yourself permission to believe that what you see is possible. Because it is.
Affirmation for Today:
"I honor my vision. I trust the timing of my life. I am worthy of everything I desire."
Journal Prompt:
"What does my ideal life look and feel like? What small step can I take this week to bring that vision closer?"
Let me know if you create a vision board—I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up. And if this post resonated with you, don’t forget to subscribe or connect with me on Instagram, TikTok and Youtube so we can keep encouraging each other along the way.
Until Next Time,
